I wonder how that 8hp Briggs runs. Mine started pretty well it just burned oil and puffed blue smoke at times. I repowered it with a new engine and I really like the machine now

It came with the 2 extensions, 2 bars, and 1 plate that I can't figure out. What I found on utube is the blowers had additional brackets that go up to a top link like any other 3 point. WebDec 15, 2012 · Hi all. I have a Ford 1720 (with 4wd) which is the newer version of the Ford 1700 and I have a Ford 715 snowblower that I use on mine. My blower is a 3 point rear mount setup however I have seen a front mount on a 1700 and it is a great combination. Ford 1700s list the Ford 715 as the correct blower attachment for the 1700 series. The Vee type snowblowers work fairly well if you have a small amount of dry snow but if you get a 8" or deeper snowfall that is wet and sticky they tend to pull too much from each side and bridge across, plugging them up. It will be difficult to clear that snow as it packs into a solid mass.

Not sure how the Ford is put together, but both the Toro and Deere I've worked on had 2 to 4 bolts that allowed the whole auger housing to separate from the drive frame. This allowed great access to the pulley for removal.
